CapitaLand’s Plant Rewards is an Augmented Reality (“AR”) game that allows the participant to claim Free Seeds, collect Game Tokens and Nutrient Points to grow plants according to the game mechanics and be rewarded when the plants are grown successfully. Participants may also redeem other rewards using Game Tokens.

CapitaLand’s Plant Rewards campaign takes place from will run from 18 November 2021 at 12.00 a.m and closes on 15 February 2022 at 11.59 p.m.

The Campaign is open to all individuals –  both CapitaStar and non-CapitaStar members, above the age of 16 residing in Malaysia.

 

Step 1:  Participants can access the Plant Rewards platform through social media advertisements, referral link or by scanning QR code in the mall(s).  Alternatively, participant may access it at www.plantrewards.capitastar.com.my with mobile devices.

Step 2: Fill in your name, mobile number and email address and submit. 

Step 3: You will receive an OTP SMS to verify your mobile phone number.

Step 4: Enter the OTP in the registration page or click on the link in the same SMS to verify your mobile phone number.

Step 5: Once your mobile number has beenverified, you can start your Plant Reward journey by claiming the free seed. Your CapitaStar membership ID will be retrieved if you are already an existing member.

Participant need to complete nine (9) levels in order to grow one (1) plant successfully :

  1. Level 1 – 8 : Collect a minimum of eight (8) points for each Nutrient (Water, Sun and Fertilizer) daily to progress each level; and 

  2. Level 9 : Upload receipt(s) with minimum spending of RM100 per day via CapitaStar App during the campaign period. The Management reserves the absolute right to revoke the plant(s) in the event the Management is alerted of any suspicious activities completing the Plant Rewards. Suspicious activities may include but shall not be limited to invalid/fraudulent receipts used as supporting documents or in cases where no receipts have been uploaded via CapitaStar App.Complete one (1) CapitaStar Mission by uploading receipt(s) amounting to a daily minimum spend of RM100 via CapitaStar App during the campaign period. The Management reserves the absolute right to revoke the plant(s) in the event the Management is alerted of any suspicious activities in completing Plant Rewards. Suspicious activities may include but shall not be limited to invalid/fraudulent receipts used or in cases where no receipts have been uploaded via CapitaStar App. 

Participants need to repeat steps above to grow second, third or subsequent plants. Participant can only grow one (1) plant at a time. 

The Plant Rewards AR Game is the main feature in which participants collect Game Tokens and Nutrient Points by tapping on the icons. Participants have two (2) daily chances to play the AR game anytime, anywhere. Participants can also get additional game chances by scanning the QR code in the mall, up to a maximum of two (2) malls per day.

Participants can collect Sun, Water and Fertilizer point(s), or Nutrient Points, when playing the AR Game or by converting Game Tokens to grow the plants. Participants cannot exchange Nutrient Points for Game Tokens or other rewards.

The Game Token is the primary currency for Plant Rewards platform that will be used to redeem rewards or convert to Nutrient Points (Water, Sun or Fertilizer).

Participants may collect Game Tokens through these ways:

  1. AR Game;
  2. Daily check-ins;
  3. Successful referrals; and
  4. Other games/challenges prescribed to speed up the plant growing process or win additional rewards.
Participants may convert Game Tokens to Nutrient Points (Water, Sun or Fertilizer) by clicking the “+” icon on the Nutrient Point indicator on the left of the screen below the CapitaStar logo icon.

Participants can use the Game Tokens to redeem STARVouchers, CapitaStar edeals and other rewards. Participants must be a CapitaStar member to receive and utilise the rewards related to CapitaStar.

Participants will receive their rewards via the CapitaStar App after redemption on the Rewards Page. The Rewards Page is accessible on the third icon from the left at the bottom of the screen. 

The system will retrieve your CapitaStar ID that has been registered using the same mobile number. For existing CapitaStar members, please register for the AR game using the same mobile number and email address used in your CapitaStar account.

Participants can play the Plant Rewards game independently without the CapitaStar App. However, it is necessary to register as a CapitaStar member to receive rewards related to CapitaStar.

No. Only one (1) Plant Rewards AR account can be linked to one (1) CapitaStar ID.

If you do not upload any receipt(s) onto CapitaStar App as stipulated in the AR Game, you will not be eligible to receive any rewards.


You may check your CapitaStar Mission status by clicking on the Progress Bar on the top right of the screen.

Participants must complete the CapitaStar Mission within the campaign period in order to receive the rewards.

Yes, you may complete your CapitaStar Mission first while you are in the process of growing your plant. You can click on the Progress Bar on the right of the screen to keep track of your CapitaStar Missions.

The CapitaStar Mission status will be updated on every Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. for all the receipts uploaded and approved in the previous week from Monday to Sunday. For illustration purpose, all the receipts uploaded and approved on CapitaStar App from 22 to 28 November 2021 will be updated on Plant Rewards AR platform by 1 December 2021, 12:00 p.m.

The daily check-in function is automated. Each time a participant logs in the game on a new day, a pop-up will appear updating their login status and the Game Token will be rewarded.

The daily challenge is a set of mini challenges that will be randomly activated each day. Participants may access to the daily challenges by clicking the second icon from the left at the bottom of the screen.

You may access to the notifications by clicking the second icon from the right at the bottom of the screen.

Participants are provided with a unique link for referral sharing on various social media platforms. Each time the participants’ unique links are used for registration, the referrer will be rewarded with 5 Game Tokens upon the successful registration of the referee. The referee will also receive complimentary 5 Game Tokens. Participant will be rewarded for the first 50 successful referrals only. Participants may access to “Refer & Earn” by clicking on the first icon from the right at the bottom of the screen.

Tracking of the plant’s health status is through the Nutrient Point indicator. To access it, participants can click on any of the indicator bars that shows the current position of Sun, Water and Fertilizer Points on the left of the screen below the CapitaStar logo icon.

Participants are only allowed to grow one (1) plant at a time. A maximum of 10 plants are allowed to be grown by each participant throughout the entire campaign period.

CapitaStar is a card-less rewards program that rewards shoppers with STAR$® when they make purchases at participating outlets across CapitaLand malls in Malaysia. The STAR$® are tracked automatically when receipts are uploaded through the CapitaStar App. The STAR$® accumulated in this programme can be used to exchange for edeals, rebates, rewards, exclusive merchandise and more via the CapitaStar App.

STAR$® are reward points in the CapitaStar programme awarded based on the net amount spent on the receipt(s) with a minimum spend of RM30 per receipt. Receipt(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase to be eligible for STAR$®. RM1 = 1 STAR$®. STAR$® can be used to exchange for edeals, rebates, rewards, exclusive merchandise and more via the CapitaStar App; and promotional gifts from time to time.

STARVoucher is CapitaLand’s signature edeal in Malaysia where you can use to perform any transaction at any of the participating outlets. No minimum spending is required to utilise STARVoucher. 10. How do I convert Game Tokens to Nutrient Points (Water, Sun or Fertilizer)?

Participants may convert Game Tokens to Nutrient Points (Water, Sun or Fertilizer) by clicking the “+” icon on the Nutrient Point indicator on the left of the screen below the CapitaStar logo icon.

11. What kind of rewards can I redeem with the Game Token?

Participants can use the Game Tokens to redeem STARVouchers, CapitaStar edeals and other rewards. Participants must be a CapitaStar member to receive and utilise the rewards related to CapitaStar.

12. How do I receive my rewards?

Participants will receive their rewards via the CapitaStar App after redemption on the Rewards Page. The Rewards Page is accessible on the third icon from the left at the bottom of the screen. 

13. How will the Plant Rewards AR platform recognise my CapitaStar ID?

The system will retrieve your CapitaStar ID that has been registered using the same mobile number. For existing CapitaStar members, please register for the AR game using the same mobile number and email address used in your CapitaStar account.

14. Is it necessary to download CapitaStar App to play Plant Rewards?

Participants can play the Plant Rewards game independently without the CapitaStar App. However, it is necessary to register as a CapitaStar member to receive rewards related to CapitaStar.

15. Can I link several Plant Rewards AR accounts to one CapitaStar ID, or vice versa?

No. Only one (1) Plant Rewards AR account can be linked to one (1) CapitaStar ID.

16. What happens if I do not complete my CapitaStar Mission i.e. I do not upload any receipt(s) amounting to a daily minimum spend of RM100 onto CapitaStar App?

If you do not upload any receipt(s) onto CapitaStar App as stipulated in the AR Game, you will not be eligible to receive any rewards.

17. How do I check my CapitaStar Mission status?

You may check your CapitaStar Mission status by clicking on the Progress Bar on the top right of the screen.

18. Is there a timeframe for me to complete my CapitaStar Mission?

Participants must complete the CapitaStar Mission within the campaign period in order to receive the rewards.

19. Can I complete my CapitaStar Mission first while I am in the process of growing my plant?

Yes, you may complete your CapitaStar Mission first while you are in the process of growing your plant. You can click on the Progress Bar on the right of the screen to keep track of your CapitaStar Missions.

20. I have uploaded receipts amounting to more than RM100 on 24 November 2021. Why does my CapitaStar Mission status states “still pending” when I check on 26 November 2021?

The CapitaStar Mission status will be updated on every Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. for all the receipts uploaded and approved in the previous week from Monday to Sunday. For illustration purpose, all the receipts uploaded and approved on CapitaStar App from 22 to 28 November 2021 will be updated on Plant Rewards AR platform by 1 December 2021, 12:00 p.m.

21. How do I earn Game Token through daily check-ins?
